I thought I'd share my newest geeky obsession with you lovelies today. When I got my iPhone, I downloaded the Evernote app because it was a recommended app. Evernote is a note taking program that I now love. I often get ideas when I'm out and about and don't have a notebook or pen handy to write them down. Or I'm browsing a bookstore and need a way to remember the book titles to look up at a library. Having the app with me at all times is wonderful.
Evernote is awesome because it's also a free downloadable program that you can use your desktop and sync to to your phone or other computers. You can make "notebooks" and organize your notes into them.
And, get this, there are browser extensions so you can bookmark webpages into certain notebooks. I'm avoiding Pinterest, rarely use Tumblr for bookmarking reasons, and my browser's Bookmarks folder is a scary, disorganized place that I immediatley forget about once I bookmark something. In Evernote I can organize webpages into different notebooks, like fashion, movies, inspiration and it's super easy to find it later. And all you people who say you can't properly credit things you find online because you "forget", Evernote is perfect for bookmarking the exact source. Can I get a woo-hoo?!
The apps and programs are free, but you can pay a small monthly fee for more features. Damn, Evernote should pay for me this. ;)
