I Just Might Explode

best day.

 

A few days after Christmas, Kip and I armed ourselves for a thrifting adventure in Nampa and Caldwell(neighboring towns) with Starbucks, a Polaroid(which Kip got at a thrift store with two packs of perfect Polaroid film for $3.50!!! I was upset) and disposable cameras. Kip is, hands down, my favorite person to thrift with. We discovered a crazy cheap second hand store in Nampa and I got myself some new threads.

Kip freaked out over this sign, so we stopped and I took my first polaroid!

We stopped by this drive in movie theatre in Nampa to snap these:

We thought this carwash was pretty so we stopped.

It was such a delightful day. Kip left a few days ago to go to  Seattle for the week before he heads back to school and I miss the diva already. But guess what?! He's visiting me in New York in March? Yay!

wednesday magic.

Today's high was 71. And it was dark. And it was rainy.

And I needed it.

I'm antsy and restless and the summer heat is just too much for me to handle. 

Enter Facebook. And Kip.

And yeah.

Kip and I went on a Starbucks/Savers/Forever21/Antique store gorgeousness adventure today. And it was brilliant.

I also got to wear long jeans and a CARDIGAN. Thank you, Jesus. For today.

Brass Razoo

It was back in May when Mandi tweeted about a gorgeous boutique she saw on Decor8. After I clicked on the link and internet-stroked the photographs, I was shocked to see that the shop, Brass Razoo, was in Nampa.

Now I'm about to offend all of my Nampa readers, but you must know that if you live in Boise and are discussing Nampa it goes something like this:

"Oh no! They're from Nampa! Poor people... You'll probably get shot when you're there."

Just kidding! You'll probably get shot if you go to Caldwell. (if you're from Boise, you know what I'm talking about). The point is? Nampa isn't the hippest place around. So on Saturday Sara and I took a 30 minute pilgrimage to the town. I was surprised to find a nice assortment of antique stores and, of course, the gorgeous Brass Razoo.

Now I'm just gonna let the photos speak for themselves. But, truly, all the details in the store are spot-on. Plus the prices are quite reasonable and the furniture! The furniture! I wish I had a house to decorate. (Or at least a dorm room that wasn't so far away.)

Brianna Senior Photos

I had the opportunity to take my friend Brianna's Senior Photos a few weeks ago and I think this shoot is one of my new favorites.

Brianna and I have gone to the same church since we were babes and I don't remember ever not knowing her. Her and I have had some great memories together, like that one time at 8th grade church camp when I called her a bitch(we've since reconciled) or the time we tried to drive an automatic locking grocery cart out of the parking lot or when we went to McCall for 4th of July(my hair was blonde! haha) our many boy-talks over coffee.I love you, dear!

It's been over a month since my last 'do' project, but ah well. I was pretty proud of myself for actually getting this project done last Saturday. Next week's probably won't be done until Tuesday night. ;)

Attend the CC Marketplace

Every Saturday from May-October in downtown Boise there is a market. Capital City Public Marketplace. (Ah! Andrea! We should get a booth next summer. Wouldn't that be fun?!) It's a fun environment with live music, fresh produce, and local artists. I went last summer with Brenna and I asked Matt if he wanted to go with me this time.

At first, I was feeling sort of awkward about taking pictures. And then I thought "what's the worse thing that could happen?". Someone asking me to stop? No big deal. It was crazy busy when we got there, but it was fun nonetheless.

I even dragged Matt into Anthropologie and Urban! (Actually he's a really good sport about stuff like that. The only guy I've known to be like that. Haha.)

We went into Luxe Vintage, but I didn't find anything I loved. Matt asked if I had ever been into Atomic Treasures because he thought I would love it. I hadn't! And I did love it. They had so many pretty things in there, but I only bought some vintage wrapping paper.

I love that I did little no to editing on those photos. Having a camera + lens that works so well in low-light is a dream.
