Here exists the much awaited, overexposed bedroom pictures! Which I pretty sure I've been promising for a month now. YAY! If you specific questions about stuff, ask them in the comments and I'll try to answer.
These are just wider pictures o' the room. I'll explain what in the stuff in later pictures. :)Theeese is my dresser and I think my favorite part of my re-done bedroom. It lives in my closet, but I'm tempted to move it out... The dresser used to be off white with light pink heart stenciled on it, courtesy of my mother from a long time ago. I painted it white a few years ago and had a few boring silver knobs on it. It needed a revamping. I sketched the letters on freestyle with a pencil and then went over them with black paint. The knobs are all from Anthropologie. Secrets is the underwear drawer, twirl is skirts, yaypants is of course pants and lazy is for all my lazy clothes. Funny story about the yaypants drawer, I had no idea what to write on for the pants drawer and I was talking to my friend Brenna about this and she was like "yaypants? that's the first thing i thought of kara!". I laughed. Sometimes I'm oblivious. When my mom saw it, she went "gaypants?!", uh, no... Ma, Yaypants. She's funny.
My shoes stay stacked over there because I still have found no way to organize shoes that I like. The cake platter idea is from Elsie in this post.
Jewelry organization!
I'm one of those people who constantly needs to see what I have right in front of me or I forget I have it.
Earrings! My dangly ones on here. I found the glass thing at the dollar store years ago.
Me necklaces are all hung up on nails. Cheap and pretty!
My rings and clip-on earrings. This is little tiered thingamabob I found at a thrift store. I spraypainted it a la Rachel Denbow. I heart it.
Other stuffs!
I found this desk at Goodwill for 15 dollars. Wooot!
The spraypainted board idea is totally stolen from Mandi. I've been obsessed with that Tolkien quote for forever now. I'm a wanderer and it makes me very happy. It's even my Senior quote in the yearbook. I'm so cool.
The little bowl is from Anthro too, the doilies are all thrifted, and the iHome is from Costco. So classy.
BED!
The quilt is one I found at an antique mall. I love it dearly. It is soft and worn and has lots of holes and patches all over it.
And I stole the pillowcase from my mama.
Windowseat-
Yeah. I like to see everything I have. And because I hate windowseats because I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM. Whew. Had to get that out. It's because they are too small to actually sit on comfortably. And my sewing machine and I are not friends, so making something soft to put on it was out of the question. So, book! And Lloyd. The trusty polaroid camera.
Details-
Mirrorness.
Where I keep my minibooks.
So. Yeah. That's ma room. Not too exciting or spectacular. But, I figure I'm still in highschool which means I can cover my walls in crap and hang christmas lights and be generally cool like that. And sometime I'll post pictures of the lights when they are one. Because then it feels like Christmas in my room. It is wonderful.
Allllrighty. I need to go do homework, scrapbook, and maybe watch the Devil Wears Prada in bed. Watching movies in bed is my new Sunday night tradition I decided. Heck yeah.
